Thanksgiving Postcards
These Thanksgiving postcards are from a large collection of postcards donated to the society by Harry & Betty Turner several years ago. The handwriting was difficult to read at times so these are the typist’s interpretations. Cora Parks was born in Washington Township, Highland County, in 1877 and lived in Greenfield from before 1819 until her death in 1972. At one time she was listed in the U.S. Census as a teacher. About 1920 she married Joseph Steinmetz who was a salesman. Joseph died in 1968 and Cora died in 1972. Both are buried in Prospect Cemetery, Washington Township, Highland County.
